Country poem / Shtrum Tikh

Strum tick
Strum tick
All sing along
Strum tick
It’s my country song
Late in fat moon
Shiny night
Strum tick
Lights a stream of bright

Strum tick
Strum tick
Soulful pace
Strum tick
Here’s a heart warmed place
Rich in history
Sweet in sound
Strum tick
Swell with hearts sweet pound

Strum tick
You’re my hearts hot fire
Strum tick
Music drawn by wire
Here in this sweet tune
So sure
Leaves the beat
For love to pour

Bon Fire

Sparks which light up this sky so bright,
to light the hearts of youth tonight.
Those that whistle, whirr and ping:
showers that usher the winter in.
Loud bright claps
and whooshes of firepower
launched from the dark,
glowing, burning…then embers.
For this sharp date
when kids stay up late,
steals breath from all lips
frozen, open and baited.
Tonight the sky is blistered light
and caught in brains
and smoked so bright.

Lost Girl

Worldly lonely
This girl caught sadly
Bleeds and crying
Drawn from lightness

It’s her light
She’ll quit tonight
In this quilt of night
Her last flight

So she goes
Good girl gladly
No one misses
Or asks where she goes

Dark Is Night

But,
Come the still of morning
there is light.

Dark is night
and,
here the mind is made
of trickery to fright.

Dark is night.
To this
Claim all dark battles
You should fight.

Dark is night
AYE!
In darker dreams
An inner peace can soar in flight.

Birthen

Woman; you were born a lady
pure as earth before the sea.
Lady I can see you calling
but I cannot stop you falling,
in this dark, they once called night –
you’re the person throwing light!
When each day has come on silent
this your knife; a final repent?

Part 29 (Charlies women)

The last of the Played at a different speed collection. I hope you all have a fabulous year end 2015.

Christmas white
with christ tonight,
alive tonight
– a bright white
night.
Wish christmas white.
Alive
bright bride,
well showered by lies
with a kiss
on the side
(with a silencing bribe),
for a white christmas bride.
Bride of christ
once alive
now denied,
all united!
Fallen through
dancing lows,
reeling twice
– took the blows
with a reflex in vows.
All giving
one knows.
As a crowning white glory,
well bridled
and white,
crawled the white drive
– felt alive –
crawling dryly
to christmas.
And there
landed a bright light
(with her eyes
hiding lies)
where it grows.

Part 22 (Redone Pygmallion)

So the beat goes on.

Met when they were truly movement
– laughter,
rising,
vital movement.
Happy feeling
merry furrow
never falling
here tomorrow.
Grown together,
flown together
and should ever be
together:
Never truant,
ever fluent,
blinding couple:
double brightening.
Then…
An age passed
so entrancing,
quick as lightening
fast
and frightening!
Ages;
stages –
ageing.
Passing
on a slowing
rhythm –
forming out
a glowing ending,
silent
standing
once outstanding.
Now a status
statue standing,
mindless,
flightless,
in an empty heart
(so lightless).
And
in time
momentless
– solid;
as rock!

Mañana: Part 23

My dark star

Warm beams of light pulse
Lazily
From my dark star
Mostly late late at night
When all that’s left up
Are the naughty girls
There you are –
Glowing.
Malevolent ideas form in my
Pot-holed mind
Where – like a slow-mo accident
Trying to be kind
I unwrap your sweet
Contented grin
Gaze deep deep within
And grasp
And rub
And ever-so-slowly begin
Watching you burn
Blazing
Your amazing
Deep dark way
Through yet another one
Of those malicious,
Yet sun-warmed
And all-to-play for
Days
With your simmering, sensual
Warm pulses of lazy
Light.

Better Than Dreams

Would you break my line of thought
when you thought it’s time,
or wake my dreaming head before
I’ve dragged you down to mine?

For as we slide in night, so still –
where all the sound’s self made –
there’s time to glide in time,
and time to take
and find where we are laid.

What’s that? A moon, so mean
and lean with light,
bestows on us yet some cool beam…
Fairly split twixt space
and that which lights up nightly
on your face!

Would you wake me from such dreams!
Would that, you wear such felicity:
These startled eyes would rest glad on you
rather than their dreamy fantasy.
