Down by the water
Where the dead kids ride
The lazy tide
Crawling sloping on the sea
That breathes on me
Its scents of the free
You turn your beaut’ brown stare on me
Under that fat brim
Beneath your gorgeous hair
You almost glare
And eyes pierce me dumb, unaware
Alone as this golden dawn
Spits out the Sun
As the close mist wisps blister
When flocks leave their song
It’s you and I down here
Just us 2 alone
So why is it as I translate
Your bare eyes
The light that you hide
Takes that moment to ride
Lifting your sweet frame in time
To escape the light lighting in my mind!
